Make Your Home Republic Day Ready!

Our 66th Republic Day is around the corner and I believe, it is another wonderful reason, for us as a country, to show our solidarity towards our Constitution. One great way to do that is by displaying our striking tri colors through the home decor of our house.

Here are a few suggestions for you to do it in an interesting way.

1) Paint your room blue, saffron, white and green

Saffron, blue, white and green are not just the colors of our flag, but also the eternal shades. They look stunning on the walls and go well with most wrought iron and wooden furniture. Thus, you could have it up on you walls for a longer time. While painting your walls, you can either use shade combinations like, green and saffron, green and blue or saffron and blue. Here, you can paint one wall with one color and the remaining three with another shade ( see the picture below).

If you are hesitant about using the tri color shades together than you can take any one of the shades among saffron and bottle green, while keeping rest of the walls white. Apply the remaining colors creatively in the decor of the room.

2)  Play with the furniture

If changing wall colors isn’t feasible, then you can get the Republic Day look by playing with furniture pieces. Here you have two choices. Either you can buy furniture in the tricolor shades or could get the upholstery changed of the ones you have.

 3) Glam up with furnishings

How about creating the ‘Republic Day’ look with furnishings? You can buy cushion cover in the said colors and arrange them on your sofa or buy curtains in orange or green or table mats and rugs in the appropriate shades.

Complete the look by using appropriate decor pieces. Here, you can use tricolor vases, little flags or other decor knick knacks. If you have a bookcase at you home, you can cover the displayed books in the shades of saffron, green and blue.

So, these were our ideas. We hope you liked them and would try some this Republic Day.

Happy Republic Day fellas!
